Calamity of being.
Tortured, by its own perception.

Sorrow, the familiar state.

Look around to see
the damage we've done.
Struggles within us all,
contrasting ways to pacify.
Agony to alleviate,
to vanquish the demon.
To pain apathetic.
The ghost of my past.

In the absence of my own mind,
the flames have withered and soon will follow I.
In the depths of my own soul,
lies a glimmer of foolish hope.
Is there even a chance
that we would ever be whole again?
If the day eventually comes
until then I'll follow my own tide.

Haunted by night,
haunted by day.
Ghost of me,
ghost of what i used to be.

Change with time,
change to a better version of self
or so it seems.
Living reflection of time.
Unrecognizable
image to past self,
Only a shadow
of former self remains.

Time is a cruel mistress.
In a time of distress
no one can detest, it cures, it cures.
Simultaneously it proceeds, proceeds.
Wishing to go by faster, faster,
realizing you can't go back, can't go back.
but the wish always remains.

Rays of the sunlight guide me.
Cant go back cant go further, further.
Rays of sunlight calling me home.
In the nothingness where it began, began.

The days of our youth calls
for the nostalgic ones,
to reexperience
it one last time.
